We enjoy lots of outdoor activities here in Maine - swimming, windsurfing, hiking, camping, skiing, and ice skating. There is lots of snow here and big mountains so the downhill skiing is good but we still go to the western US to ski when we can. I got interested in studying dance about 20 years ago and dance classes, ballet and modern, have been part of my life since then. My wife also studies dance and so does Isabel - the family photo that I sent was taken at this year's spring dance recital.
I have been fortunate to have had close friendships and many great adventures with several members of our class - Steve Plater, Tom Stafford, Monroe Woollard, Jim and Jane Henkel, and Peter Heebink (who was in the class behind us). I expect to see most of them at the reunion. And I expect to have many more adventures with them.
On a recent trip to Wisconsin I talked with Larry Everard, who became a close friend of my brother Thomas and then all of our family after the Wisconsin High years. Larry lives near Madison in the warm months and has lots of memories of our class and the other teachers. He mentioned to me that he was one of several young teachers that came to Wisconsin High when we were there, including Mrs. Patton, Mr. Dowling, and Mr..Chandler. Larry would like to visit with us during the reunion weekend. I think many of us would enjoy seeing him. And did! It was fun to reconnect with him. He brought Miss Thomas, the German Teacher from WHS also.
